Foundation

MBC’s passive foundation is PassiveHaus certified and eliminates cold bridges.

The MBC Passive Foundation system is suitable for both Passive and Standard timber frame projects.

Closed Panel Wall

Choose from a range of high-performance Insulation options that create excellent air tightness.

High Performance 140mm stud closed panel system ranging U-Value 0.18 → 0.11W/m²K

Passive Twin Wall

MBC Passive timber frame Twin Wall performs to Passive House level when used in tandem with our foundation and roof system.

Passive Standard 300-400mm Frame ranging U-value 0.12 → 0.10W/m²K

Roof

MBC’s Roof is Passive Haus certified and also suitable for Standard timber frame

Trusses

We produce fink trusses, attic trusses and raised tie trusses

Metal Web Joists

We design and manufacture inhouse and are also available on a supply only basis

I highly recommend MBC Timber Frame and especially for their Passive frame system which delivers Passivhaus levels of insulation and air-tightness. They supply a great quality product with faultless installation and high levels of coordination with other sub-contractors and ensure the envelope is airtight before handing over to the main contractor. Our last completed project with MBC delivered a new home that achieved Passivhaus certification. I look forward to working with the MBC team again.
